Community Concert featuring Julian Drummond

Pianist Julian Drummond joins Lines & Spaces' teaching artists to perform music for violin, viola, and piano by Elizabeth Maconchy, Claude Debussy, and Robert Schumann. The performance is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome and the concert will feature activities for children as well as brief commentary before each piece. A reception will follow.

2024-2025 Community Concert Series

We're excited to return for our second season of community concerts, which began with our November 3rd performance.

Five musicians (a singer, violinist, violist, clarinetist, and flutist) perform music in a church sanctuary.

Lights On Festival

Students from our free after-school program will give their very first public performance at Taunton's Lights On Festival. After the students perform, faculty will play holiday tunes. Community Concert

with the Voices

Unheard Ensemble

November 3, 2024 at 4 PM

We're thrilled to collaborate with the Voices Unheard Ensemble, an organization that celebrates and promotes music by female composers. Guest artists from the ensemble will perform with Lines and Spaces in a program that includes a new work by composer Eliza Howells in addition to music by Pauline Viardot, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Robert Fuchs. Admission is free. Audience members of all ages are welcome and there will be activities for kids. A reception will follow. Donations to support concerts like these are always appreciated. 

Halloween & Harvest Block Party at the Market

Catch Lines & Spaces and enjoy the autumn weather at this Farmers' Market/Block Party! Lines & Spaces will play music and offer free crafts, and the market will also have free face painting as well as farmer, food, and craft vendors. Don't miss the magic show at 10:00 a.m.! Farmers' Market

Stop by the Farmers’ Market to hear a mix of fiddle tunes and classical music, to learn about Lines and Spaces’ upcoming after-school music program, discover the difference between a viola and a violin, and participate in a make-your-own-instrument craft. In addition to Lines and Spaces’ tent, the market will offer free face painting, an ice cream social, delicious local produce, and more.
